Great American Caravans Alaska 2023

6/19/2023 - Today is the start of our trip to Alaska. We have been waiting for 1 year since we decided to take this endeavor. 

6/20/2023 - We traveled to Fairmont Hot Springs about 107 miles. Light rain the whole day. I soaked in the Hot Springs today and spoke with 2 gentleman from the area while enjoying the Hot Springs. Temperature 103 F. The other pool was 90 F.

 On the way to Watson Lake a bear encounter. I went to check on RV in front of me and the bear starting walking across the street. I high tailed it to the back of my RV.

Made it to Skagway, AK on July 2, 2023. Tourist town reason being the cruise ships stop here. Lots of shops. Diesel Gas was $5.50 a gallon.

 7/10/2023 - Destruction Bay. First glimpse of Aurora Borrealis 2:15am. Sunset at 11:45pm and Sunrise at 4:30am.
